We handle and have handled many different types of birth trauma including oxygen deprivation leading to death or cerebral palsy, mishandled deliveries including a range of nerve palsies and fractures of the skull.

With a full-time neurosurgeon on staff, we are well equipped to quickly and accurately analyze injuries occurring to mother and/or child at birth. We also have OB/GYN doctors, pediatricians, and neonatologists at the best hospitals around the country willing to review cases we bring to them. Many of the best practicing doctors are unwilling to work with lawyers who  press cases that have no merit or little merit. We have built trusting relationships with these experts because we never bring a case unless it is warranted and never without full support of respected members of the medical community.

Here is the most recent result we achieved for a child and her mom in a birth trauma case:

*$44 million resolution in a claim against a Connecticut Hospital who failed to deliver a child because they could not find the proper staff to do a C-section. The fetal monitoring strips show the baby losing oxygen to her brain for more than 2 hours before the nursing staff and obstetrician could find an operating room ready for a C-section delivery. The little girl has profound cerebral palsy but is getting the best education and care, and her mother is able to have some independence without the 24 hour care that was necessary prior to the case being resolved.

How to Use Case Builder

Case Builder contains two helpful categories: cases we are working on now and our past results. Case Builder is a novel concept. Our web designer said we should have this information fixed in a web page. We disagreed—thinking that just like our practice is always changing the case builder should be an ever-changing description of where we are right now—not last month or a year ago.
