Faxon Law Group filed a petition in the United States Court of Federal Claims demanding compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Act for 65-year-old Dale Drechsler. In 2015, Drechsler received Fluvirin, a trivalent influenza vaccination, at Walgreen’s in Shelton, CT. About a month later, he was hospitalized for a number of neurological symptoms he was experiencing, including numbness and tingling in his extremities, and chest pain, all of which began very shortly after the flu shot. Drechsler was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) caused by the flu vaccine and immediately began receiving treatment for his condition. Prior to receiving the flu vaccine, Drechsler was in good health and enjoyed riding his motorcycle regularly. He now struggles daily with the residual effects of this vaccine-related injury, including numbness in his legs and hands, can no longer ride a motorcycle, and must remain under care of his neurologist. Faxon Law Group is seeking the maximum compensation allowed by controlling federal law.
